Why do people have to put chickens on their heads?  I am now consumed with people who put chickens on their head and why.  And why the hell does the chicken stay there!

Our Vacation

Well, we are back from our vacation.  We went to London and had a day at Paris.  We had such a wonderful time.  I think our favorite place was London.  We were not crazy about Paris, way to many people.  We met so many nice people.  But, if you ever go, bring comfortable shoes, you will walk and walk and walk.

We have hundreds of pictures but this is just a few.  I would recommend the trip to anyone.  Especially if you like old things.  Not much new there!  Our favorite things were: the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Westminster Abby.

Another weekend

It has been awhile since I posted.  Work has been pretty busy, but I thought I would show you the major work done on the barn.  We have officially gotten all the braces and ceiling joists up.  We are now ready for the rafters.  I again hit my limit this weekend.  We had to put in about 100 small screws.  Although I had an electric screw driver (not sure if that is their official name), but standing on a latter in limited space, I was again not strong enough to get them started.  John didn't want to drill a starter hole.  After about an hour of total frustration, I said 'screw that' (yes, I literally said that) and I started drilling the holes first.    But then I broke the bit, so, I had a melt down and went and worked in the garden.  And unfortunately for John, he had to finish all the screws.

Another proud moment was when I noticed our  potatoes have come up.  We had more torrential rain and we lost some of our greens and the eggplant, which John was very happy about.
